“As a singer songwriter in the pop/blues/cool jazz genre it can be difficult to find beats that work and compliment the material.

For solo performances I use a BeatBuddy. The rhythms for my type of music are sadly lacking on BeatBuddy, so I went looking for someone who could do custom midi files that would work.

Municipal Man Music kept coming up as the guy to go to on a FB BeatBuddy site so I reached out and boy, am I so glad I did.

I have tried others that offer a similar service but they missed the target.

Municipal Man Music went above and beyond on some tricky 3/4 and 6/8 tunes. He did an excellent job on not only my originals but also on some not so well known cover tunes as well.

Mark did an outstanding job.

I am thrilled to have found him. What a great resource.

5 star no doubt. Worth every penny.

Thank you so much Mark for your expertise.”

How would it work? You send me a recording of your track. I’ll layout a drum line in midi and add bass if required. We can discuss adjustments for style and taste, and ultimately you will come away with a drum track you can play along with or recored final versions over. Complexity equals time. So, a simple arrangement may take an hour or less, while complex songs will take longer. When a final project is completed, your beat is uploaded and you can process your purchase.

Concerning Collaborations and Copyright

As it relates to collaborations, having produced a drum arrangement or bass line for your song, if it used for personal practice or demonstration purposes, then there is no formal agreement on the production.

If the production is released then I would request the honorific usually applied to collaboration in the form of production credit for the portion of the collaboration.

Should the collaboration involve content in the form of musical input, like lyrics or song arrangement in so much as it changes the song significantly, then an appropriate share of song-writing credit will be afforded me.

Barring all of the concerns, your original material belongs to you, and no attempt would ever be made by me to represent it as mine, no unauthorised copies will be kept, nor would any claims over copyright be made for material that was not produced by me.
